This method involves extracting a small blood sample, which is centrifuged to isolate a membrane rich in platelets and immune cells. This membrane, which is yellowish in appearance and flexible in texture, acts as a biological dressing that can be placed directly on the operated area or mixed with bone fragments to facilitate bone regeneration.
In which dental procedures is the PRF method used?
PRF accelerates healing, stimulates the formation of new tissue and naturally protects the treated area.
It is used in interventions such as:
